Oh, I thought I was helping. I did let you know of the difference in oil consumption across two engines that Honda manufactured a couple years apart. Don't let facts stop your train of thought though!
Your engine is ****ed. Your bores are out of the service limit in terms of roundness. When a bore is ovalized (like all your lovely AP1 blocks), it wears more quickly and gets worse faster. The S2000 was named as such because it was released in the Year Of Our Lord 2000.
But yeah, put thicker oil in so the next unsuspecting buyer won't be aware of your rabid oil consumption.
