Your engine is ****ed. Your bores are out of the service limit in terms of roundness. When a bore is ovalized (like all your lovely AP1 blocks), it wears more quickly and gets worse faster. The S2000 was named as such because it was released in the Year Of Our Lord 2000.

But yeah, put thicker oil in so the next unsuspecting buyer won't be aware of your rabid oil consumption.
Have a look at this link https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Honda_S2000#References, you may have your facts wrong? BTW, the S2000 was released in 1999. I would focus on the very first paragraph.

And it was named S2000,because of its displacement of 1997c.c.

To stop telling others that it is normal for a Honda to burn a quart of oil every 1000 miles. I really don't care what he does with his POS. Just don't screw up the resale value on mine. Good Luck!

Also, this S2000 vs S2200 debate is hilarious. Have you guys written a letter to Honda if you're so passionate about it? LOL.
And at the same time, write a letter to BMW since their 335i doesn't actually have a 3.5L engine even though their 328i and 325i does have a 2.8L and 2.5L engine respectively. LOL
These sort of injustices have got to be stopped!

Not argueing, I'll stand corrected.. .but I thought the S2000 was named for the anniversary release in 2000. Yes it was 1999, but it was the end of 1999 when manufacturers released their 2000 models. Same as september 2016 all the 2017 models were released.... that's how they're referred to.

But I suppose it's true, because the s500 was 537cc? and the s600 was 606cc, with the s800 being 791cc

Damn, someone didn't get his coffee this morning. It's not just ovalized bores that can cause increased oil consumption. It could be worn rings, bad stem seals(caused by torched valves, or loose guides), it could be worn bearings slinging out too much oil for the oil rings to cope with. A nick on the spark plug tube seal mating surface on the valve cover letting in oil via the spark plugs. It also depends a lot on how you drive it.

I'm surprised no one has taken an oil-eating AP1 engine apart and mic'ed all the tolerance specs. Should be able to narrow down what specifically, is causing oil lost. Prolly need to strip down and measure a couple of AP1 engines, to check for common wear issues.

I have, 184,000 ish mile engine I got as payment for a 2.2 swap. 2 slightly worn main bearings # 4 & 5, 3 marginal guides in the head, and very slightly ovaled bores 3 & 4. Slight as in you can't tell unless you use a micrometer. The crankshaft was immaculate, as were the cams, rods and bearings, and pistons. The wrist pins were worn, and so were the rings as the gaps were beyond the service limit. The water pump was still good, never got around to testing the thermostat, but I figured why chance it when it's a cheap part. The oil pump was still in perfect shape and within spec, both block and head were not warped. YMMV.

I have always wondered where exactly the oil was going in my AP1 and this thread definitely provides some additional insight. I would not say it is a good feeling knowing that the car is consuming this amount of oil however I am at 80,000miles with about 220psi across the board for compression and consume 300-450ml per 1000miles. I will keep driving it and see what happens in the long run.
