ap1 with ap2 center drive shaft

Default ap1 with ap2 center drive shaft

i found a ap2 drive shaft but i drive a ap1.
i've been told that the transmission side can connect. but the diff side i'll needa to get a ap2 flange?

is the correct?
is there anything else i'll need to do?

Both flanges are different > 10mm (IIRC) bolts vor AP2 vs 8mm vor AP1.
Gearbox flange is easy to swap.
Diff flange not, that (doing it by the book) requires some new parts and opening the diff to set it up properly.
You can swap a diff flange and not worrie about pinion pre-load but it might bite you in the you know where at some point.

Find a AP1 shaft and don't mess with the conversion hassle to make the AP2 shaft work.
