Hi Guys I’ve got an AP1, I went to get it out the garage for it’s spring clean and the immobiliser wouldn’t switch off. Strange I thought battery must have went so ordered some new batteries. Didn’t work it has the Honda factory fitted alarm system has anybody had this problem? Could it be a receiver issue? as both my key fobs won’t dis arm it?
Pls Help

Hi. Did you arm the alarm when you parked it last?

Immobilizer and alarm are two separate functions. Is this an alarm problem, or the car won't start?
So-called "factory fitted" alarm -- the one that came standard everywhere -- or a dealer/importer fitted alarm common in the UK? We routinely see problems with these. Separate alarm fob or a button on the standard fob?

Thanks for your reply, Its the key fob with two buttons with the old school alarm detectors on the windscreen, so I put the key in and get the beeping with the green key symbol like normal at this point I press the key fob or before this but it won’t start because the key fob is not taking the immobiliser off. Also on the centre dash my flashing red light by the hand break is not flashing

Not familiar with this system and it appears unique or at least common with the UK cars so your best source of information is that section.
There's a chip in the key that controls the immobilizer and in the systems I'm familiar with the alarm only senses door openings if the system is armed via the remote locking system -- the Honda fob. Not sure what the UK alarm system has done to the immobilizer system. In the North American cars:
Hope you get this sorted!

When you turn the ignition switch to
the ON (II) position, the immobilizer
system indicator should come on for
a few seconds, then go off. If the
indicator starts to blink, it means the
system does not recognize the
coding of the key. Turn the ignition
switch to the LOCK (0) position,
remove the key, reinsert it, and turn
the ignition switch to the ON (II)
position again.
The system may not recognize your
key’s coding if another immobilizer
key or other metal object (i.e. key
fob) is near the ignition switch when
you insert the key.
