Anyway to turn on OEM Daytime running lights on 2005?
any way to have daytime running lights on 2005 s2000,
not the ebay aftermarket ones, but the inner non-projector light inside the headlight,
i think, they are also high beams.
and i want to replace the bulbs to yellow and i think that would look great
how do i go about that?

The US version of the S2000 didn't have factory DRLs till the later model years. ALL years of Canadian S2000s have them. You can't just "turn them on". If you want the OEM DRLs you have to buy all the components that make them work the way they were meant to work from the factory. This could get expensive. Your other alternative is to buy a module that will turn on the high beams at about 50% power when ignition is on and turn them off when you turn on the HIDs. These modules can be had for about 50 bucks.
S2000 owners have, for years, tried to get away from the yellowish looking high beams by getting the white or bluish tinted "Xenon" bulbs. They even go as far as to eliminate the amber lens on the signal and running lights. You want to actually make them yellow? Um..... OK. I'm not sure that yellow high beams would be legal for you.

You gotta do a little homework for yourself on this. DRL "modules" have been around for over 10 years. Do a Google search or even search on Ebay.
It's not the cops I was talking about. It's just that for nearly 13 years this car was produced, yellowish lights on this car was very undesirable. It was like fashion leprosy of S2000s. (I believe the term used was "UGLY"!) If you like 'em, go for it.

and DRLs are at half the power, if not less, of the high beams, smart guy.

It's not the lights. It's the electronics that control them. The lights themselves will not perform the DRL operation without the supporting modules and switches. I've heard the electronics from Honda can cost as much as $500.00+. Ask anyone who has imported and early model S2000 to Canada. They either pay the money, buy the cheap DRL module from an autoparts store or just wire auxiliary lights that come on with ignition.

Here is one such aftermarket module. There are many, many more. ~$50.00
