Anyone w/ AP1 - AP2 set up?

What modifications have you done? VAFC I am assuming??? If you are getting a code that says the car is running too lean then the ECU is reading values that show lean. If you are still at stock settings then you may have set something wrong in your intitial set up or have it wired incorrectly maybe.
I got a few CEL's when I first started tuning mine. (AP1) I cant remember the code # but it was "Manufacturer Controlled Air/Fuel Ratio" This code would be thown when at half throttle conditions while at the cam change over. With tuning and learning more I was able to get rid of that.
I am assuming this is the problem that you are talking about....if not I am way off

I only assumed that you have a VAFC issue because you ask the question in the other thread about this... If you dont have one it could be an oxygen sensor sending bad values to the ECU. I am fairly new to the S2000 and honda's alike but these are the only things that I can think of that would cause this problem. Maybe a good starting point though?!

I don't have a VAFC I have the AP1 ecu and the F22c motor. The O2 sensor is just fine. The shop is suggesting I get a VAFC to tune the fule ratio since I'm running that set up.

DO not get a VAFC to tune the engine, you will cook it. The AP2 engine is borderline lean with the 00-01 ECU but will hold up ok. Tuning for addl power will bring up the piston temps enough to scuff the bores.
That setup in bolt-on form should run fine with no issues, and no CEL.

To the OP. Why don't you stick the car on a dyno with a wideband and that will tell you your A/F ratios.
