Anyone running an NRG-Cell Slim battery?
My original battery is now 5 years old, and has failed to start my 06 AP2 a couple of times when I've run radio or something for more than a few minutes. Load test today showed cranking voltage ave 9.0V. Looks like it's time for a new battery.
Willing to spend a few bucks more to get a lightweight battery, but only if it would have at least as good cranking performance as the oem. Not interested in a motorcycle battery good only for track days. (I don't track mine anyway.)
I saw this NRG-Cell Slim battery, 14.5 lb vs 25 lb oem; claims 480 CCA vs 410 oem. Sounds too good to be true, but ...
Has anyone tried this battery? If so, how has it worked out for you?
TIA
Bob

I just bought this battery.

It's not installed yet, but the batteries themselves have been getting SPECTACULAR reviews.
Its so light that when you get it, you think that the box is empty...

Hey, psychoazn, have you mounted your Shorai battery yet? Wondering what adapters you used for the terminals. If you've got it installed, how's it performing?
I'm looking at their model LFX36A3-BS12 - seems to have capacity at least as good as oem lead-acid battery. I'm worried will it crank enough & will it be compatible with my car's charging system - so far seems yes to all; waiting for replies from Shorai & batterystuff.com.
