Anyone resurface a SOS flywheel? Plus some clutch issue question...
Hi all,
I had a science of speed flywheel, sos clutch, sos steel braided line, new master and slave cylenders and oem bearings installed about 18 months/14,000 miles ago by a highly recommended mechanic on this forum. In the last week, the clutch pedal has become stiff on initial on push and I also started getting some cltuch slip in fifth and sixith gear.
I was going to try this fix today:

However, I found my floor jack broke this morning before I could get my car on jackstands. I never abused the clutch, rode the pedal, do burn outs, hard launches, etc.. The pedal is adjusted correctly and I just do dailiy city driving, so I have no idea why the clutch is going out so soon. So all this bad luck got me thinking that I should go back to the stock clutch, but I was wondering if I should replace the flywheel or if anyone has had SOS flywheel resurfaced?

I'm replying to my own post in case someone comes across it in a search. Yes, you can resurface an SOS flywheel. I called SOS and they said yes, but it depends on the condition.
So when the mechanic pulled the transmission, he found that my SOS clutch was beginning to crack and was pretty glazed over. The clutch had done some minor damage and the machinist had to do little bit of work to get the flywheel balanced. I'm back to a stock clutch and PP, but I kept the SOS flywheel. The car is buttery smooth with no noise and no smells. In fact it feels like it did when it was new and I drove it off the car lot in 2007.
