Wouldn't this be expressed in CFM?

Wouldn't it be 2 liters/4 every rpm? .. so 159 cfm.

that would be correct if the engine were 100% volumetrically efficient at every RPM. What RPM do you want to know the volume at? Honda heads flow very well, so I'm guessing 90% VE @ 8600RPM (or wherever it makes peak hp). There is a calculator online somewhere that can help you find this out. Search on Google.

I believe the actual volume of air the intake holds or whatever is like 5.5 liters.

i believe at WOT in the higher rpms range, the intake flows up to 310cfm

Don't understand how that can be.. there is only 2 liters and one cylinder on intake on any one rotation. Two liters / 4 = .5 liters. .5 liter is 0.01766 cubic feet.
0.01766 * 9000 = 158.94. So what else could be pulling in more air?

maybe i am missing something. i could have sworn i had seen the 310cfm somewhere.

Does only 1 cylinder fire every RPM? I thought it was 2. Yes it is a 4 stroke, but each stroke is in 1 direction. You have the intake stroke that pulls air into the cylinder with intake valves open(1st 1/2 Revolution). Then the compression stroke that compresses the a/f mixture(2nd 1/2 revolution). Then the power stroke where the a/f is ignited(3rd 1/2 revolution). Finally, the exhaust stroke where all the bad stuff is forced out the exhaust valves(4th 1/2 revolution). So every cylinder fires every other RPM. Thus 2 cylinders have to fire every RPM. I'm not 100% on all this, so someone correct me if I'm wrong. This means the 310CFM is much more accurate. I've also read that the s2k pulls in 310CFM at max in other posts.

I was blabbing on about firing, but the same holds true for the intake. If 2 cylinders are firing every revolution then 2 cylinders must be drawing in air every revolution.
