Haha. Jay, I think this has been done far more often that people will admit. At least you got the nuggets to admit it.
Future hint: The fill plug has a brass (yellowish) colored washer on it. The drain plug has an aluminum washer.
In any case, thanks for confirming that the threads are the same. I'm on another thread at the moment trying to figure out why the guy's 23mm wrench won't fit on his fill plug and why his 24mm socket will.

I'm not going to worry about it. If the thing starts to leak I'll drain, contain, and swap the bolts. This motul fluid is too expensive not to save LOL.
I believe the drain bolt has a magnet as well. With 94K km I'm not too worried about any more shavings needing to be collected.
BTW... channel-lock pliers on the 24mm socket works like no other
