Default anyone change their bottom end to a 2.2 here?

Is it worth doing the pistons to a 12:0 compression and is it worth stroking to a 2.3?

might be fortunate enough to pick up a 2.2L bare block with crank. This should be a pretty good upgrade.

im actually wondering the same thing, can you mate a F22 short block to a F20 head and have the best of both worlds?

any complications to doing this?

The heads are the same, it's the cam and springs that is different

ok so now we know they physically bolt together... but how will it run? Is this going to provide us with the torque of a 2.2 but the ability to keep the 9k redline?

i have heard in the past that the F22 shortblock can not handle and was not designed to spin at 9k.. is this true?

any downsides to creating this Hybrid engine?

Most likely, the redline of 9k will no longer be retained. This has to do with the change in the rod/stroke ratio when going from a 2.0 liter to a 2.2 liter. Please correct me if I am wrong.

This has been gone over quite a few times, heavily debated. Run your ap2 to 9k if you'd like, but there is a reason why Honda lowered the redline....
