Default anyone with AP2 and the shakes

I read in the forums about the shakes and it seems to apply to AP1's. I have an 04 and it has the shakes..i'm the second owner, clean title, no accidents, new rear tires..and alignment done about 4 months ago..i still have the shakes at about 40mph and sometimes when i go over un-even road..any ideas?

tire pressure, check front tires for uneven tire wear.

you need to be more discriptive about the "shake"

is it a motor/drive train related?

is it suspension related?

shake as the softtop rattle?

does acceration or decal has anything to do with it?

does it vibrate as you brake?

when was the last time you did alignment?

is the tire balanced recently?(last year?, sometime you can have a loose wheel weight on the freeway, esp when the tire mounter didn't clean the old surface with degrease and stick on the new weight on dirty surface)

is the lugs of your wheel tighten at 80 lb/ft?

is the wheel new? new wheel, new paint=requires retorque after initial torqueing/tighting

sorry guys, i should've been more detailed.

rear tires: are brand new on stock wheels, balanced and torqued correctly

front tires: checked pressure and re-torqued

shake: it seems that the shaking is coming from the rear of the car. both passenger and driver side, but it seems more driver because i guess i'm more sensitive to it than my passenger. Its seems to be definetly a suspension/rear-end issue. When i accelerate from 0-30mph, no shaking..from about 30-42mph it shakes the rear..and from about 43mph + there is no shaking, EXCEPT if i hit a bump or pot hole at that speed range i can feel it. Or if the road is un even it shakes. on the decel..same thing...from 70mph+ to about 40mph..its good, around 40-30..shakes..I'm thinking of gettting another alignment after i put in my coilovers, but in the mean time, i was reading through the posts on the axles and i'm wondering if that applies to me. i dont hear any clicking, etc as other members with AP1's hear, but the car does have 60,000 miles on it, so i'm wondering if i should just change my axles. if anyone with an AP2 has had any sort of shakes..let me know..maybe i'm just over analyzing. thanks in advance.

My car would shake in first gear, ride smooth for second and third, and then would start shaking again at the top of forth gear. My axles had some nice pits in them. Flipping the inners from left to right made the car drive smooth again. Probably what you're gonna have to do.. Don't buy axles untill your car gets the shakes the second time . They have another 60k miles of life in them.

Maybe it's just that ap2's dont have as many miles as ap1's yet.. I would think they use the same axles. I know the diff case is a little different. I dont know about the axles
