Anybody have a supercharger and DC headers?
Just wondering if the headers made any differance in power or sound with a supercharger and also if anyone has dynoed the combo.
Thanks

Reignman- I believe that there are a couple of members that have this combo. (YellowStreak and ChargedS2K) I haven't gotten my combo installed yet ,but Charged S2K made 326 rwhp on a mustang dyno and Yellowstreak made 308 rwhp I believe. IMO, I would guess it works pretty well since the mustang dyno is usually more conservative than a dynojet. Maybe YellowStreak or Charged S2K will chime in. I'm interested too.

Rchhockey, the DC header was great quality and on top of it. The weight saving was great. I can't compare these header with Spoon, Mugen or Toda. Because they are not in the same category. But for the price - $550 retail and we sell for $466.65. I thought I can't go wrong, for a full polished stainless. There wasn't ever any dyno charts. But I did feel the power increase between mid range and high end. To me for the amount of money that I spent, it was very worth it. The power band felt more balanced and smooth.
Maybe the next time we do a Vortech, I'll install the header after the charger and get some great dyno numbers.

gernby, you are right. A few DC header have shown up weak on dyno. But remember there are also a few Spoon and Mugen I have seen have almost little gains also. But after it was mated with free flow exhaust and tuned with vafc. A lot of Spoon and Mugen made more gains. And I believe the same with DC header. They are not competing with the Todas or Mugens. But I think the design is still good and the collectors still look very good. And if it was done right, it will show gains on dynos. But these are all theories, I guess we just have to test it.

I unfortunately do not have before and after dyno plots with the DC Sports header. I am running the jetcoated version with a header wrap. The big difference was the weight savings over the stock header. My hope is that the header wrap is also reducing the engine bay temps some. It is well-known that header wraps kill headers, so I wouldn't wrap an expensive one. I can't comment on sounds since I am running a Spoon N1 with a test pipe. The car is extremely loud, but I attribute that more to the Spoon than the header.

on my car aem cai, dc sports header, and rm racing exhaust peaked 22 hp more in the mid range vs stock s2000's the same day that gernby and I dyno'd our cars. I did not loose any horse power at all. 140.6 ftlbs of tq is the most my car has put out, while all other stock S where 134-135.
I ordered a vortech kit and will install and dyno in a month or so. I need to upgrade the clutch and break it in before I install the s/c.
with a tuned VAFC, aem cai, dc sports header, jic single exhaust, I pull on stock S2000's all day long.
