I don't know
I guess I just don't feel like spending 5000 on
someone elses kit

Found this on search.
I want to learn how to make my own turbo too. I dont drive a s2000 yet, but am planning to buy one. I see the torque figures and they dont look too attractive, which is why I would like a turbo.
What precautions should I have on the drivetrain. Should I change anything if I have a turbo installed?
Build me a turbo that is proven to work please. Parts list. Fuel management I guess I would go with AEM. Thanks.

Someone offered to build me a custom kit. He said to let him know id I needed any custom engine work done. I was like what about a turbo? He can definitely do your basic mechanical work, and he's a nice guy, but I have no idea how far his skills go. He probably assumed I have deep pockets. NOT. I have to buy cheap tires. Damn cheap tires. Car sliding all over the place like a freakin' penguin.

I think Saab is thinking of using some kind of electric motor to spool up their turbos. The idea is to ELIMINATE turbo lag, which would be a big factor in designing a turbo kit. And then after the litttle turbo has spooled up (lag-free), the larger, high-boost, turbo will "kick in". A la Ferrari F40. Sequential Bi-Turbo. That's the way to go.
