Anybody besides myself running '02-'03 suspension on an '00-01 car?
Title really says it all. It's taken a couple days for the car to really settle and as such ride has gotten much stiffer! I have 17" rims with 205 fronts 255 rear and was getting rubbing with my '00 suspension with 70K on the dial. Its outfitted with Boxster S S-02 rubber. So it might have a little more bias towards having better rear grip and with the '00 sway bar stiffer might give even more bias to understeer. I have't really tested it but it seems like it might have gone that way. It just means I can plundge into the corners and put down power without fear of tail swinging out on me. Though I never had that problem before. When it did happen I was able to smoothly correct it.
Though rarely do I take it to the level where I will test the limits of the suspension/my abilities especially on the streets.
Far as I can tell the rubbing is gone and definitly a stiffer ride. Car feels faster to respond to steering inputs as well.
Ideally I should have 215's on the front to balance out this setup but it just isn't in the cards to get such a setup with S-02's in the 17" size. If figure that with 70K of miles the sway bar has got to be a little looser than it was when new.

I wouldn't expect mileage to reduce the stiffness of a sway bar any more than it would springs. The '02 suspension really isn't stiffer than the '00-'01, it is just stiffer up front and softer in the rear.

I'm doing the same thing too. I have a set of low mileage 02 springs/shocks sitting in my garage until I have some time to replace the OE ones. Already have something like 85K on the originals. Same tire set up as you as well. How are the SO2A's treating you? I'm curious to see what 17"rubber Honda puts on the 04 models...

I doubt that Honda will be putting 17's on the '04 but then again...........we never know anything for sure till they hit the showroom floors!!!
Oh yes............when installing the new suspension I had to pop the bottom joint per the manual. No real way around it!
