Fair enough.

Must take some kahunas to start cutting into the bar though!

I cut out a chunk of the bumper under the headlight and inserted a NACA duct. I also sealed up the inside of the wheel well so all the air goes up into the intake instead of shooting off into the cracks. Here's a pic of the original duct...I've since replaced it with a proper black duct that fit better and looks a lot cleaner.

What some people do for lil pony..lol

thanks for all the replies. do u REALLY think the vent on the hood was specifically designed to draw air out? I would think that it's more aesthetics... if they really wanted to draw air out efficiently, they'd put the vent at the end of hood, not the front.... wouldnt they?

The vent is where it is to pull more air through the radiator and discharge it above the car instead of under it.

Yes, really. Vents at the end of the hood, at the base of the windshield, are located in a high pressure area and would force air into the engine bay, not remove it. Vents at the front or middle of the hood are in a low pressure area and are designed to extract hot air from the engine bay and radiators.

Vented hoods are designed to draw out air after the radiator, not suck in cold air

ok, since we are talking hoods here, who know anyone with one of these.

http://www.c-west.co.jp/aero/s2000/img/bf2_2.jpg

i am interested in this hood, but i can't tell if it is vented, i can see that there is a scoop for cold air, but i really can't tell if there is a vent behind it or if that groove is just for looks. this is the only picture, and there are none showing it from the inside so i can't tell.

i wonder what happens when it rains on this thing. oh well.

hey nobody, do you have pics of the finished product, i am just curious what it looks like.
