Your front strut bar sits a bit lower than mine, and it doesn't have any coating on the bar. Your's probably doesn't touch the insulation like mine did , which is good. Awesome engine bay by the way

True. It maybe just 1.5 lbs, but to me, that's 1.5 lbs of just dead weight.

I drove my car today for the first time since underhood insulation removal, FWIW I didn't notice any additional noise, but I have an oem intake system, perhaps someone with an aftermarket intake would notice more noise. This solved my initial concern so I'm happy.

Here is a picture of my current bar, it sits a bit higher than some others so it was rubbing, with the burnt finish I wanted to avoid long term rub marks. The other picture below was the Comptech bar I had previous to my current bar, it had a painted finish and the rub marks were more definite, it also sat higher than some other bars. But I'm glad I ditched the insulation, easy solution to my issue, easier than getting rid of my strut bar, lol.

Thanks !. That is a Mishimoto rad cap with built in temp gauge. I like it, and it is actually pretty accurate.

well i just got a strut bar just for the looks and to have something to lean on while working on the car lol and i just kept seeing and hearing about pretty much all of the high end brands rubbing on something except for the cusco but i was defenetly not going to drop 200 bills on a bar, so i saw the current strut bar i have on ebay and the picture was actually slightly different but at the end i was glad i got what i got because it fit perfectly and looks sort of like a cusco except for the blue but other than that its clean, lightweight, and blemish free... for 24 bucks, you just cant beat it.
