Hey, thanks for replying....I quess I probably put too much info in my original question, my fault for not being clear...About 3 or 4 times in the last year, when I go from 2nd to 3rd, at around 7000-7500 RPM, I try to shift into 3rd, depress the clutch fully, and it does't want to go into gear, just grinds if I try....the RPM's are now 2000-3000, (car still moving), and will not go into gear until I give it about 5 seconds to calm down. Car has only 9000 miles, not abused, babied. Clutch is nice and tight. Any input would be appreaciated.

6spd, the s2000 transmission is built a little differently. from what I've read, most transmissions drop the rotational speed before the gears used to shift. The s2000 does not - which means when the engine is spinning at 9K, the input shaft is spinning that fast. It takes a little more time for the rotations to drop for gears to mesh properly. Its probably a split second slower than normal transmissions.. I've noticed that you have to take a little more time to shift or else it does grind. Give the synchros time to work. I've had various manual cars as well and its true that you can shift those quicker than the S.

Too much info...like you said it happened during a hard turn, so does it only happen during hard turns? If not it's probably just the usual 3rd gear grind that all Honda tranny's have. Can be fixed by changing the MTF.
