I rebuilt the motor and after getting the valvetrain back on I found this piece around where I had the parts. I thought it was a dowel, but after looking at it again I thought it could be a piston from the rocker arm assembly. Took the valvetrain apart and it is definitely not one, incorrect size and appearance. Any ideas what it could be or if it is even from the car?

Looks like an oil pan dowel to me man.

Could be but, I think they are all silver and beveled at the ends. This is gold/copper and squared off at the ends.

Looks like a VTEC pin from the rocker assembly

Or, the dowel that goes on the head bolts and keeps the head gasket in the right place as you are setting the head.
