any help? Temp gauge, ave mpg, and CEL
i just bought my 08 ap2 and it has a full invidia n1 exhaust system with headers of an unknown brand, bought through trade and was unable to contact original owner. It has the heat shield removed and usually reaches 1 or 2 bars from halfway on stock temp gauge, it may just be my worrying but its also used a whole tank in just under 200 miles of congested city driving, also the engine warning light is constantly on and ive been told its because of the removed sensors in the exhaust. sorry if im posting in the wrong section or ive missed a post but is there any tweaks needed with the system/should i fit a heatshield?
any advice is greatly appreciated!!

Welcome Fred...try to be more specific with topic titles. I edited this one for you. Ambiguous titles like "Any Help" get ignored by most in the community.
The heatshield is not critical, but can lead to worse performance in a hot climate since it causes heatsoak to happen more quickly.
Your mileage on a tank of gas is really dependent on how you drive the car. If you are in vtec quite a bit, then your mileage will suffer quite a bit. When racing and in vtec for 20-30min at a time, I get about 11mpg. Tire inflation can also lead to lower mpg...and lots of city driving doesn't help either.
The CEL code would need to be pulled for us to help you figure out why it is on.
If you are in the UK, there are many knowledgeable owners in your area. Post in the UK s2ki forum and see if there is someone who can help you pull the CEL code.

What other mods have been done to the car?

nothing as far as im aware just the exhaust and ap1 wheels as the originalls were stolen, looking to buy some SSR Type-C's asap along with an intake and an audio upgrade! are the o2 sensors important or is it standard procedure to lose them when exhaust is upgraded?
p.s. point noted about the vague topic tiltle
and thanks for all the advice!

The O2 sensors are decently important - it also depends which ones were taken out. The first O2 which is installed on the header is VERY important - without it, your car will be in "LHM - limp home mode" The 2ndary O2 is not that bad (its in the catalytic converter)...still, its best to not have that CEL illuminated just in case a real problem pops up.
My suggestion: Listen to Negcamber. Pull the CEL codes, check what they mean (theres a sticky up top where you can check the CELs) and then go from there.
