Just curious why everyone was asking why the OP was changing his chain??

Don't AP1s have the usual 90k mile chain replacement interval??

There is no service interval for any S2000 timing chain, AP1 or AP2.

I was told it was 90k.. So I'm wrong on this? Are they guaranteed for life?

I have 175,000 on the original chain wiitout any issues. So I think is safe to assume that they are made for the life of the motor. Although the chain does stretch as the miles go higher...

Guaranteed? No. But they last pretty much forever.

maybe if it was a belt, but chains- as in the f20 and f22- live a very long life in a healthy engine.

What would you guys consider "pretty much" forever as a long enough time for replacement? What's the normal life of an f20 timing chain?

*edit* Never mind. I did more research. Good to know before wasting money on a chain since mine was replaced at 90k by the previous owner...

Good info, do you need to pull the chain guides tho? Once the tct is out, the chain is loose right?

what chain is the strongest? is toda even worth it or i should stick to stock oem since im doing a rebuild. thanks for reading this guys need all the help i can get
