Default Any break-in period for installing new OEM clutch

I had my dealership install a whole new clutch (pressure plate, disk, throw-out-bearing, etc.) and I asked my service advisor and they had no clue

Anyone know if a break-in period is necessary? I've been driving 50 miles since I had the OEM clutch replaced with a new one for 50 miles now staying under 4k rpms. Thanks.

There are multiple friction surfaces that must seat. It is prudent to perform a good number of engagements before putting heavy loads... it depends upon the number of standing starts and shifts but I always take it easy for the first 400 miles.

Don't just drive the 350 miles
IMO you'll have to do some easy standing starts & shifts to get the parts to seat properly.

Much like the seating of brake rotors & pads, increase load gently.

In about 10 days I'll have my Comptech & ACT to break-in.

Because it is number of engagements that count, not number of miles. I guess we can say just count to 2500 to 3000 uses of the clutch but that is hard to track.

Wow so basically 2500-3000 times of shifting? I guess its safe to assume 400-500 miles of daily driving.
