Default Another way to get more fuel for Superchargers?

Gleaned from the web regarding the APEXI VAFC:

"VAFC allows fuel enrichment correction by intercepting the pressure sensor (MAP) input signal and tricking the ECU."

So what is this doing:

http://www.exoticsportbike.com/techlusion.htm

"This system (Techlusion) is different in its method of adjustment by dealing directly with the fuel injection signal after it leaves the factory ECU. It adjusts your fuel requirements without tricking sensors or modifying the factory settings which can limit the ECU's effectiveness at compensating for changing altitude or weather conditions.
The digital circuitry construction allows a specific range of adjustment of the fuel delivery curve in the areas that most effect drivability and performance."

This little box is not an engine management computer and it's not something like a VAFC.
And this is not just for motorcycles, Jackson Racing seems to be adapting this technology for use in their Honda supercharger kits so that FMUs aren't needed.

Looks interesting. Not sure you'd have enough control over different conditions but it would probably be a good additions to a V-AFC/FMU solution.

Mind you, by the time you've bought this, a V-AFC and FMU you probably could have bought a better system.

This is one of the advantages of the Greddy eManage. The eManage can tap into the injectors and add an additional pulse for fuel tuning. This does not affect the MAP reading in any way. The eManage can ALSO do the MAP tricking like a V-AFC. In addition, the eManage can control timing (yes, even on the S2000). There are many threads recently on the V-AFC and the board member's success with it. There should be plenty of info on the board for you to read.

What sort of cost is the eManage?

Is it a piggyback?

What is required to tune it? Does it come with software and laptop connection or do you have to go to a licenced installer?

Yes, it's a piggy back. You can get the eManage, injector harness, ignition harness, and support tool for around $600. There are a few other options you could elect to go with but it really depends on your setup. There is no need for a licensed installer, I know of about 10 guys on the board running the eManage with their FI S2000. There is enough information on the board for any member to install the eManage himself. I have also created a web page with some of that information on it. http://www.redlnr.com/S2000_eManage_Install.htm

And to Jason, if you knew enough about "doing it right" you'd have a turbo. BTW, I was the very first S2000 to have the AEM EMS installed on my car...so I have a very objective perspective on this.

Hehe, I bought the S/C on a whim. I just saw the GB going and I called and ordered it on impulse. $3700 was a good price!!

I also like no lag, and hopefully if I can ever get to the bloody track without it filling up before I can make a run, or the belt snapping, I can say I have the world's fastest S2000!

Maybe soon. It's tough enough getting the damn dyno sheets off the guy with the dyno!

I don't think you've met Cjb80.

The fastest I've heard of so far was ChrisD... 12.5 @ 116 I believe?

I don't doubt there are S2000s putting out more power!
