another vafc problem, HEEELP
So i bought a used VAFC and bought a new PNP harness by Boomslang. i installed everything and cut the car on and first noticed the check eng light was on..no biggy i guess so i went about to initializing it to set it back to its factory settings. i went ahead and lowered vtec to like H5600 L5500 and made sure the car was on 0606 and 4cyl. i checked some other peoples stuff on here for the throttle % which i put at 10% 50% and whatever....then drove the car and it will not rev past 6k it like governs itself...does anybody know what the problem is and why my check Eng light is on esp if i take it back to its factory settings and it still wont let me take it past 6k???

I had this problem too.
When I first set mine up and put everything in to get it running, it said that it was setup for vtec, but it wasn't for some reason. It was showing it was fine. I checked the CEL and came up as a vtec problem not engaging.
I did the intialize setting to put everything back to nothing and then put in the correct initial settings. Vtec worked fine next time I started the engine and took it past 6k.
