Another SRS light on

Another SRS light on
My srs light is on and I have performed the reset before and it went off for about a year without issue. Now it is back on and the reset does not work, so something is causing the issue. I have become very good at the reset, so I know it is not my timing, and I get the two blink confirmation before turning the ignition off on the last step.
I jumped pins 4 and 9 on the obd connector and waited for the code.
I got 7 long blinks for the main code and 2 rapid blinks for the secondary code.
I checked my battery voltage and it is at 12v with the car sitting still, with the key turned, but not cranked, I am at 11.9v, car running I am 14.5v. However the battery is older and about at the replacement limit.
Any thoughts on what could be wrong before I start spending money?

If the CEL is still set take it to a part store and get any set or pending OBD-II codes. It should be free ( call ahead to find free check) as they want to sell you repair parts. Not enough granularity in OBD-I bridge codes (I.e. Blink-blink) to give you any advice....

I purchased an obd code reader that should be here no later than next week. I figured it would be nice to have one anyways. It will work Bluetooth and add hoc network with my iPad and IPhone.
I will see how this works. I have heard that the SRS codes will not show up on the obd readers though. Can anyone confirm?
Once I am able to see a possible code, I will move forward. My first thought is new battery since it is close to replacement time and it won't hurt to verify I have good clean power.
This car is not a daily driver and I only have 60,000 on a 2002. It had 15,000 when i bought it years ago. I am very disappointed in the fact that Honda has had multiple issues with SRS systems on other models and I am certain the S2000 has a similar module to other models. I also read recently Honda announced a large recall on vans produced in Alabama. If I am not mistaken it was airbag or srs system related.

No the OBD II reader will not show any SRS codes. I have never had trouble with the SRS system. Maybe the car was in an accident and air bag might have been replaced but they might have not correctly reset the SRS system.

Ever had the DTC professionally checked before? Honda has a lifetime warranty on seat belt buckles and the belt itself as long as there are no deployment codes. Most dealerships will only charge a half hour labor otherwise to pull the code if it turns out to be something not covered in their seatbelt warranty

I am certain it was not in an accident. I had the car for about 5 years before the light came on. I have also removed my front bumper and fenders for a respray to cover my rock chips, no damage under the panels and no overspray anywhere on the car from a body shop.

Haven't yet, but it is in the cards.
