Another silly oil question

Some of you believe that since Porsche, BMW, and Vettes have synthetic oil at the factory, it is O.K. for the S. The S's engine is not like those cars. Hell, the Vette is a push rod V8. If that were the case, why wouldn't Honda have done that at the factory? Plus, why would Honda tell owners not to switch to synthetic until about 10K miles? You say that you have no issues since you changed to synthetic earlier than recommended. I'd be curious about your long term issues.

It is not necessarily a good thing that the engine runs as it did new. An S2000 should run better at 10K miles than it did when it was new.
