Another Flawed Wheel Alignment

Another Flawed Wheel Alignment
I recently had wheel alignment jobs done on both of my cars. Both times, the alignment was fine but the steering wheel wasn't perfectly straight. And both times, I took the car back to have things adjusted only to be told that there wasn't a problem.
What gives? It seems as though eight to nine out of ten times they can't get the damn steering wheel straight. Sometimes it's pointed to the right, other times to the left. Of course, this determination is made on relatively flat roads. And of course, very few roads are indeed flat which complicates the troubleshooting process.
Should I just live with my slightly crooked steering wheels or keep going back until they are right? Then again, will they EVER get it right? Perhaps someone with experience in this area will chime in and provide insight to what seems like an impossible dream: a straight steering wheel.
For the record, tire pressures have been checked on both cars.

maybe because the alignment was off before so the tire worn out different from both side and so when they bring it back to spec it would pull to one side. just a thought.
