Another "clunk when turning" thread...
Lately I have heard a single "clunk" noise I believe coming from the the rear when making a hard left or right turn at slower speeds. Yesterday afternoon I heard it twice in the same drive. Once from a stop making a right turn, I thought I had slipped on some gravel because I was coming off of a hill and onto a flat road. The second time was taking a left into my apartment complex I was decellerating and made the turn at about 15 mph maybe - heard another single clunk, of the same volume, from the rear.
I also am not depressing the brakes during either of these turns.
When I corner hard at speed, I don't think I've ever heard the clunk. It's just from stops or slow speeds a couple times.
I retorqued my axle nuts about a year ago preemptively. Didn't have any issues but wanted to take care of it before it became an issue.
I also torque my lug nuts myself by hand to 80 ft-lbs.
Any thoughts?
