Default annoying vibrations from rear?

Hello guys

Ive been experiencing this really annoying jiggle from my rear after i lowered my car and got rims. I know the rims and tired were mounted and balanced properly and I also got an alignment, so I really can't figure out what this vibration is. It usually starts vibrating like crazy the moment I hit 80mph. Could it be the suspension? The rims? Any suggestions would help!!! Thank you!!!

Some thoughts:

1. Just because you got the wheels balanced after the tire install, doesn't mean they are balanced still. They can go out of balance and some tire shops recommend a rebalance on new tires after about 500 miles.

2. Same goes for the alignment. A few lowered cars have been difficult to align. Yours may be one of these and the shop did the best they could, but wasn't quite good enough.

3. Your CV joints may have been on the verge of going. Lowering the car puts the joints at a different angle from what they were before. This may have accentuated the way the joint internals contact each other, moving up the time frame for when your CV may have started to vibrate the car anyway. Does the vibration occur primarily when you accelerate or does it only do it at a steady cruising speed?

If it vibrates during acceleration (moderate to hard), then it's the CV. If it only does it at high speed, you likely have a wheel balance or alignment thing going on. Oh, you could also have a loose or broken lug or lugnut(s).

Had exactly the same problem when i did mine..

The inner CV joint housing is 'pitted'. Easy fix is to swap just the inner housings around. I've done this and the problem went away..
EASY!!

Thanks guys. Yeah the problem is only going at steady speeds not when accelerating. I guess ill try a few things out and see what works. Appreciate it!
