Annoying rattle, Transmission?

The operative word is "if". That's what they would love you to believe. They don't want to give you your 900 clams back for misdiagnosis. They gotta come up with something to justify what they did. Did they give you the old mounts so you could see for yourself?

HOLY SHIT $900 to change engine mounts? WTF? you got RAPED... sorry to say it that way but a ''cheap'' mechanic was good enough to do that... I did mines and im not even a licensed mechanic

I didn't see the old mounts. I assumed after they replaced the mounts the problem was fixed until driving out of the parking lot. I still heard the noise so I turned around went back and told them about it. A mechanic and I went for a quick ride, he told me it was one of the clutch bearings, it shouldn't hurt anything, and the labor to fix it wasn't worth it until having the clutch replaced. I searched around and it looked like it could be the throw out bearing except for the fact the rattle continued with the clutch pushed in.
I stopped by Honda yesterday, told them what happened (they didn't seem to care) and ordered the screw to fix it.
Anybody know a good mechanic in the Tampa area for future reference?
