A poorly adjusted hub nut would be hard on the wheel bearing (and probably a few other parts as well).

Interesting. I've got this on my Civic. I always thought it might be something in the breaks. I'll have to check it out.

If you have a similar situation on your Civic, the noise should be coming from the front. And on a FWD, such a noise can very likely be CV joints.

i have the same problem and bought new axles to fix the clicking noise. Quick question, cv joints, are they connected to the axles or is that a separate part i have to purchase?

Yup. Thats it.

I hear it costs around $90 to replace the nuts and re-grease????
You should be able to get it done under warranty. I bought mine Honda Certified and they fixed it for free. I haven't heard the noise since I picked up the car yesterday.

Also, is this a TSB thing cuz it seems like several people have been having the same issue.
No, this is not an official TSB. A friend of mine is a tech at a Honda dealer and researched it for me as I am having the same problem. It's more like a note in their database in which a tech can read if he looks up the S2K's axle bolts.

I read the fix for this problem, but it isn't obvious to me how to implement it. I'm not sure where the spindle bolt even it. Is this something someone with little experience could do? Or should I just suck it up and take it to get fixed? I'm trying to learn to work on my own car, but I don't want to try if this is beyond the skills of a novice. And how do I retorque to a 220lbs/ft? I may sound like a complete noob asking that question, so feel free to tell me that i don't have a chance with this project!!

considering the nuts are like $6 RETAIL, I hardly think it should cost $90 to do.

The cv's are connected to the axels (one cv on each side of the axel) It may be possible to remove the cv's from the axel's, but you need the proper tools and still, it isn't easy. Most peeps just replace the whole axel (with the cv's attached)
