The single generally is better performing and louder.

depend which single you are talking about. R1 is the same as the dual. just its single, a little louder althought i don't consider a loud exhaust, its quieter then my J's racing a the invidia. it makes about 8hp. the R1000 is a header back exhaust with all straight piping. no cats. and its the loudest exhaust or the S2000 on the the market as far as i know. it makes about 12-13hp is what i have been told. the dual R1 makes about 4-5 hp. hope this helps

naturally the single will make more hp and be louder, as others have already stated. they both have the same diamter piping and have a resonator. the dual comes out straight while the single comes out at an angle(like the apex'i n1 or j's racing). i prefer the single in terms of looks and power.

If you want performance, single is the only way to go.

The single will have less restrictions and obstacles for the exhaust to flow to thus yielding more HP. You will probably have additional virtual horsepower here from the weight savings. Some single Titanium exhaust systems are as light as 6lbs opposed to our factory exhaust of ~50lbs i think.

it convince me to go for the single system then....
so it left with the r1 titan with resonator and without, and r1000.....
does the r1000 is a header back exhaust?
or is it just a cat back exhaust?
what is the different between the r1 titan with resonator and without resonator?

The R1000 is a header-back system with 10mm larger piping. It saves you over 50lbs since you save weight losing the cat as well.

The R1 Titan (without resonator) is slightly heavier than the Extra (with the resonator). They both have 60mm piping. I would personally go with the R1 Titan as the resonator doesn't do much, and makes the exhaust more boomy, IMO.

Hmm, there are so many versions from Amuse now it's getting confusing. It'll be good if there is a pin-up on all the different versions since this seems to be the most respected/earns highest respect from everyone. I have some questions to add as well, perhaps the owners would contribute their comments.

R1000 - Gloire seems to be the only pictures shown and there was no header shots included, perhaps he could answer whether is R1000 is from header back or before-catback. Amuse does sell headers as well, but it doesn't specify whether it's for all Amuse catback systems including or excluding the R1000.

Resonator & Dual/Single Output vs Weight - I'm confused, how can a catback single or dual with less resonators weigh more than those with more resonators? Don't the resonators add more weight?
