unless you luck out and have a strong block from the factory, buy the exact same mods the amuse car is running, and run 100+ octane, you will be better off with a piggy back computer or an AEM EMS... the ecu is programed with their car in mind... don't stray if you buy this, or to get the maximum potential you would need to run a piggy back anyways, thus making it pointless to spend a thousand dollars on a premaped and tuned ECU...

thats what i was thinkin. the amuse hi tech rom is nice but 1,000 is way too much money...i would still want to buy it, but the price needs to come down just a bit

old thread but couple of questions maybe someone can answer...
considering the jdm s2000 has higher compression, would the amuse ecu have benefits on our usdm s2000? also does anyone know the minimum octane rating necessary to prevent detonation while running the amuse ecu? i believe the mugen is 92, how about the amuse?

the amuse i belive is 92 also. the difference in the ecu are very small. but i see you have an 02. 02's on have reworked ecu's. you would be pretty much wasting your money on this eco since it won't give you any major benifit over yours. just really lower vtec. you can get a vafc for that.
