Which Amsoil engine oil is best and why?
#11
Using the Signature Series 0W-30 for over two years in various Honda's. No oil consumption issues, a quieter engine and increased highway mileage (2 mpg increase) on 2010 Odyssey & 2009 FiT. I've never checked for mileage on the S2000 though due to it being used sparingly.
I change my oil either on the oil life indicator or overall usage (highway vs. around town) and use the Honda filters exclusively.

sounds like good results with the 0w30, can't go wrong with it.

If you're not planning to extend your OCIs, either one will work great. I still prefer 0W-30 SSO due to better flow on cold starts, but the real benefit of SSO is its ability to hold up for long OCIs. It's also very shear stable.
I've been using SSO (and it's predecessor, TSO) for over 150,000 miles now and it's been holding up great even with 35,000 mile OCIs. Here are my UOAs.

Will this help reduce valve train noise on the S2000 engine? Mine is getting very loud since the last oil change (at dealer, not sure what oil they used).
