It probably won't hurt your engine, but a regular 10W-30 would probably provide better protection unless you drive in VERY cold climates. Where are you located?

People really need to keep their mouths shut unless they actually know what they are talking about. This is happeneing far too frequently on this board lately.
I think part of the problem is that people are posting these more "technically challenging" questions in the wrong forum. There is a tendency for them to be answered with hearsay rather than actual experience which is potentially dangerous. I am going to move this to UTH where you should hopefully see a better response.

DO NOT USE GL-4 or GL-5 Gear Oil in the transmission. It will eat the brass synchro's. use Honda MTF.

Amsoil used to (still?) make a 80w-90 GL-5 synthetic gear oil for the diff. I have used it and it seems to work fine. I have a case of it in my basement so I'll use it up before going to the LE stuff. I change my fluids frequently (oil at 3-4k miles with Mobile 1 10w-30, tranny every 8-10k with Honda MTF and diff every 8-10k Amsoil 80w-90 GL-5).

Amoil 0-30 series 2000 is there best oil, it is better than there 10-30. It should not hurt anything, i believe the 0 part is the flow rate which is better than 10.

The 0W basically means its thinner and flows better while cold. This helps circulate the oil faster, but it will not protect as well as a comparable 10W aslong as its warm enough for that 10W to flow/circulate properly.

Isn't the 30 weight the running temperature when hot? So they are the same.
