Is a alignment needed after storage?
Guys, is it important to get an alignment after storing the S for the winter? How many of you guys do alignments and how many don't after storage? My car is stock, no mods.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Probably not.
But keep in mind that as the bushings and springs wear out due to constant compression from normal driving even on very smooth roads, the alignment changes.
Even after only a few days of driving after an alignment, the car's alignment specs may be off VERY slightly from normal wear.

The alignment specs will change after a single run around the block, so sitting in storage will do no worse imo. I'm one of those people that buys unlimited alignment packages so I can keep getting my car re-aligned, and try different set ups, but I wouldn't worry if I were you.

Hmm, is that a technical term?

I currently have one from Merchant's Tire - I think it was like $130 for 3 yrs, unlimited alignments, regardless the tires I have on the car. Considering a single alignment cost $60, I knew I'd go through at least three sets of tires in three years, so I got the package and get an alignment done every so often. So far I'me played with rear camber and front caster mainly.

I agree on NO.
There's no reason, just remember to insulate the tires (make the car sit on little wood blocks) and during storage, if possible, push the car foward and backward (without turning it on) to avoid your brake elements to stick.
After storage, inspect the tires for cracks or premature rubber wear. (usually the tire will be very hard)
I read once that baby powder is perfect to preserve rubber in storage, but I never hear that people baby powder their tires, still could be an interesting experiment.
