Default Alignment/differential issue?

I was driving home from work and I ran over a piece of angle iron that blew out my driver side rear tire. I was about ten miles away from home and on the side of the highway. I wasn't aware that you aren't supposed to put the spare tire on the rear so I put my spare on the rear and drove home, to work the next day and then straight to the tire shop (75miles max) and I never went over 50mph. My rear tires were relatively new (about 15k on them) so I only got one new tire. I didn't have any alignment issues before I got the new tire but now my car pulls moderately hard to the right when I press the accelerator. The pull only occurs when I'm accelerating and it seems worse when I'm around 50-60mph. Could I have damaged my differential with the spare on the rear or is this merely an alignment issue? I've never heard of differential issues causing a pull to one side but then again I'm the dummy who didn't know not to put the spare on the rear. Any ideas?

Did you get the same rear tire? Sometimes the differences in tire patters and other factors can make a difference. Did you make sure that the tire pressures are all the same? S2000's seem to be very sensitive to tire pressure variations

yeah my first thought is tire pressure. make sure they're both the same...when one is deflated it will do exactly as you described.

about your flat tire thing...i'm wondering the same as well. a few years ago that happened to me, except it didn't go flat all the way. i drove somewhere between 20-50 miles on a slowly deflating tire until i could find a repair shop to plug the hole. i suspect it messed up my diff cuz at the next change the oil did not look good at all. chunky pieces came out. that incident was right before a weekend at the dragon so that didn't help. fast forward to now (haven't driven the car in 2 yrs and essentially 3 yrs cuz last time was only for 2 weeks...the diff is making creaking noises every time in first. i'm afraid it's gonna blow soon but i hope not that soon!

Rear tires must be same size, same brand, same pressure, and same WEAR. The new tire and the used tire is the reason for your pull.

They are the same tire and tire pressure is the same. It's relieving to hear that the issue is the difference in wear. I know that S2k's are sensitive but the pull was a little stronger than what I thought the difference in wear might make. I'll just get another new tire and hopefully that solves it. Thanks for the help!
