Algea gunk in brake fluid?
I'm flushing my old factory brake fluid out with some Valvoline Synthetic, and this greenish algae-looking gunk keeps floating to the top of the brake master cylinder reservoir. I keep having to suck it out of the reservoir with my mighty-vac. Anybody else ever had anything like this happen? Anybody have any idea what it is? I've never seen this type of thing before...
Thanks,
Eric

Figured it out: I flushed the clutch this morning. As soon as I poured the Valvoline Synthetic in on top of the Honda factory fluid, the green-gray stuff appeared. It seems to be some sort of reaction between the two fluids. I made sure to run a lot of the synthetic through the brake and clutch system, hopefully I got most of the old stuff out. Interesting...
Thanks for the help,
Eric
