no, i called honda they said i can't use any other one, like the ones that say "honda accord model 01, 02, 03, 04, 98,99 etc.

Sorry I couldn't get back to you. I see you ordered it already. Mines, I think I used for a couple of weeks, but pretty much mint. Was going to let it go for $20 shipped.

the ones that came with the car originally will not work with the factory alarm--even if reprogrammed. They will still lock and unlock the doors and open the trunk (after the alarm is installed) but will not activate or deactivate the alarm--- the factory alarm comes with 2 new remotes that will do both.
There are also two types of remote housings--one with a small ring to attach to your keyring and ones with a "slot" in the remote for a keyring to go thru. they're not interchangable even though they're the same shape
