Alaniz also has stock head gaskets which he can machine out and adjust to fit your needs. The stock gasket quality is second to none.

Question: What kind of gain could I yield with porting the intake and matching the intake to a slightly bigger throttle body??

Another excuse to put a puffer on it.

Anyone know what kind of difference an Alaniz grind could do for an NA application?
Currently running mugen intake, header, ecu, hondata gasket, straight pipe, single outlet exhaust. I understand peak power isn't everything, so even 5-10 hp throughout the rpm range would make a difference on the track.

We felt the head I had Joe Alaniz do added the equivalent of 10 hp but it might be more since my CR is apparently 10.23 rather than 10.5. You must realize this head was not optimized for NA and still provided 10 to 13 hp.

Lower compression would mean less power. So if you are still getting 10-13 hp, with the valves you have, you should get more with normal valves. (non concave)

Also, for an NA application, keep in mind that a set of cams could also magnify the gains of the headwork. And obviously, you'll want to do what you can to keep the CR up. That may mean using flat-faced valves or adding material to the combustion chamber or (if the cams permit it), milling the head a bit.

Good luck.
