Default airbag symbol on gauge cluster

Is there a way to take off this constant airbag symbol showing without taking it to the dealer??

Some aftermarket steering hubs like Mugen come with a plug to plug into the stock location when your change out your stock wheel to get rid of the light. Not sure if they are sold separately but I've heard you could make one?

It looks like your stock steering wheel - I guess the question should be:

Why is it on in the first place?

My girlfriend's car deployed airbags recently and the symbol is on hers as well, my understanding is all airbags are disabled after the system has detected an error like that.

If it's not supposed to be on (steering wheel removal or whatever) then I would find a friend at Honda and see if they'll reset it for you. I don't think the old reset procedures work on the newer cars

Only a Honda dealer can reset it, or if you've got a really high end code scanner/resetter (but most dont work with S2000's). But it should be no charge since you've got a 2008.

My question is the same. Why is it on?

Have you tried a soft reset to the ECU? Although I can't remember if it will clear the error.

yea, i tried resetting with ems, etc.. airbags were never deployed either.
dealership gives me problems and wants to charge 95 for daignossis since they are scard of the aftermarket parts voiding warranty. I got tired of dealing with them, but I guess I'll have to try another dealer if its the only option. oh well, thanks guys

It could be few things that causing it such as your belt buckles, the SRS computer, SRS switches, etc...
Try different dealer, this is safety issue.
I used to own an Accura and the belt buckle gone bad and Accura replaced it for free and they said it is life time warranty.
