Default air solenoid? problems

ok, so i looked around and couldnt find anything about my problem. what it is, im not exactly sure of. the other day, i got a CEL and am not 100% sure this is why. after my car has been runnin for a minute, i can hear a noise comin from the solenoid that sits right by my intake. i checked all my hoses and all of them are tight, none are off or even lose. the sound is like air being sucked thru a tiny hole, but is restricted if that makes sense. its actually what is happening. i am hearing the air being sucked into the tiny holes on the end of the solenoid. when i stick my thumb over the end of it, it gets more quiet, but is still there. i took the "black cap" off of it so it was the bare pipe piece with the hole at the end and once again put my finger over the hole, and can feel it suckin on my finger.

what is wrong? is there not enough air being pulled into the solenoid, is there to much? how should i go about fixing this? and lastly is it ok to drive for now? sorry this was so long, but can anybody help me?

thanks in advance everyone.

tim

Do you hear a hiss from the valve when the engine is running? If so swap the vacuum lines.
