Air Pump Spec
Hi,
I have a new equipment in my car that needs compressed air supply. Instead of buying a DC air pump, I want to check if I can just use the "afterburner" air pump already there in our cars. (The one sits inside the front bumper that pumps air to the exhaust.)
Does anyone know the spec (pressure and flow) of that air pump? I searched for a long time on the web and the service manual but no data found.
( I know what the pump is for and when it will be on/off... but as an experiment I want to see if I can use it instead of adding more weight to the car. )
TIA,
Peter

It's a electric Centrifugal pump. It's also not meant to be run continuously. The motor will overheat and destroy the pump if it is. The only way you'd find out pressure and air volume is to measure it. Honda doesn't publish that info.
