Faking out the ECT input at cold start will cause even more issues than not running the air pump.

Yeah I guess it work in conjunction with the o2 sensor I read, so this may cause additional problems, what is the ECT? Toyota's ECT is electronic Controlled Transmission.

Is there a circuit that we could link directly to the air pump circuit. I wouldn't say mess with the ECT for o2 sensor unit because upon a cold start the motor idles higher to warm up and get oil to key areas faster.

I am goign to look into this, because mine is coming off and I am getting rid of the whole system it pisses me off.

If someone had a AEM EMS would that get rid of the CEL?

Start up ECT has to be under 135* F for the pump to run. The Pump monitor has to run to pass most states emissions testing.

I've said it before, the easiest way to defeat this CEL is to have the entire system functioning OR a AEM EMS, OR a JDM PCM that is not OBDII compliant.

Both the AEM and a JDM PCM won't pass the OBDII monitors either.

I just Pm'd GT motoring and asked if a JDM ECU would fix the issue. I saw they refunded people's money.I wanted to know what may have been the issue. I am going with a AEM EMS soon, so I will just sell my Air pump to whoever needs mine. Mine runes perfect as it should.

That is good to know about this though.
