I realised today the hole where the airpump piece goes into the AEM intake was open
I had put some tape on there but it came off...

Is this bad? I figure since the air is metered in the intake manifold it wouldn't have made much difference
I have noticed at stop lights the car has been idling weird, drawing hot air from the engine bay?

It's not as much of an issue of pulling unmetered air as it is pulling unfiltered air. Slap a rubber hose cap over it. Don't wanna be pulling in dirt, pollen, bugs, or any other nasty stuff do ya?

thats what I hoped thanks I guess the idle might have been the hole drawing in hot air from the engine bay
