Raw data, with incorrect methods and procedures, doesn't make for good conclusions though.
I've seen one person actually test for airbox temps correctly, and that person found no appreciable difference with airbox temps with the exception that at idle, the airbox interior gets hotter faster. Once you are moving, fresh air is flowing through the engine and things cool off quick enough - you're talking 1-2 hp loss. Besides, unless you are in a race for your life against another S2000, you'll never miss that hp.
Yes, air temps are slightly higher, but its like a 1% hp decrease because the air temps only rise 10° or so. Its just not that big of an issue.

so it does hurt performance? that's exactly what i am trying to say.
i don't really care or know how much it will hurt(i am not claiming how much hp like you are doing)...but it's safe to say that it's not a peformance "upgrade"?

Sounds great, but you will definitely feel heat bog when it gets warm out. I concur, the CEL will not come on b/c of it.
