Default Air filters; induction & cabin air: advice needed.

Hey everyone. Really enjoying my '01 S2k, now with 34k miles on her. Time to replace both air and cabin air filters. I've gotten the Purolator A45362 for the air filter, which isn't a permanent one, so I'm thinking i'd rather order a nice, K&N or like brand permanent one and just clean and oil it rather than replace the filter every 30k miles. Any brands you guys/gals recommend?

Also need to order my cabin air filter; any brands you recommend? I was just going to get a Purolater one but I'm totally open to whatever is good. Stupid guys at Advance Auto were of no assistance so I'd rather ask my S2 buds and order what you guys/gals like!

Thanks!

K&N for air filter, just because i can clean it up, which is a must for those with spoon snorkel like i do. however i am getting better gas mileage with the oem filter time after time. so i might just switch back.

cabin filter i am using oem unit, it's 22 bucks at "handa", i change mine every year since the air in LA are known for being clean and healthy.

oem filters for both is fine. theres no point in k&n because why clean when you can change? its not that expensive for a filter. k&n filters are more expensive also

The point is you pay ~$50 for a K&N that you clean once a year vs $30 for OEM that you replace - the cost of OEM goes up pretty quickly. Plus, the K&N sounds a bit better.

For the cabin filter, OEM is fine - you should probably replace it at least every two years though.
