Air box mod (spoon-style)?

I'm running the snorkle intake as well.
What I decided to do was to leave the "L" shaped air guide in place. First I just got lazy, but then thought that the "L" would serve as a air channel for more of an "air ram" effect to the filter. Don't know if this is true or not. I do know that the top and bottom portions of my K&N get the bulk of the dirt.
I finished it off with a c/f rad plate made by APR, to give it some continuity of carbon fiber and to hide the ugly hole I cut on the oem shroud.

I run the Spoon snorkle. I did not cut the divider at all but I did completely remove the inside wall that leads to the resonator chamber. This opens up the size of the OEM airbox by about 25%. It is not noticably louder. Can't say I felt much either but it is free.
