honestly somewhere in between. Talk to your piston manufacturer and see what they recomend for the amount of expansion you want based on your motor set up/tollerences. For refference to high of a silicone content will be a higher expansion rate, and to low of a silicone content will not expand enough.

but do the FRM cylinder walls in the S2000's blocks like a higher or lower content, have you gone with any aftermarket pistons?? Im building my first F20c motor this winter, just wanna make sure!

Silicon content has nothing to do with compatibility with the sleeves.
Low silicon forged pistons are much stronger than high silicone ones, but they don't expand much, so they rattle in the bores until the engine is fully warmed up. Low silicon pistons are usually only used for full race turbo charged motors running huge boost.
High silicon pistons are best for street and NA because they expand enough to ensure a good fit to the bores, and behave like a cast pistons (although still much stronger than a cast piston).
Without resleeving, you must make sure the pistons have a special coating compatible with aluminum bores. I believe the stock pistons are iron coated. Mahle may make pistons for the F20C (they do for the H22A)...check out their website.
