Aftermarket Exhaust Too Long...

Aftermarket Exhaust Too Long...
I recently purchased an aftermarket dual exhaust, and I'm having fit issues.
EDIT:
I had originally left the brand name out of this. However, per the recommendation from JackS below, I will name the brand. It's a T1R 70mm dual sparrow. Let me assure people that the quality is generally very good, and I do not mean to dissuade others from purchasing it.
END EDIT.
Installation was very simple and straightforward. The issue is that the resonator is so close to the rear brace that they vibrate/rattle at certain RPMs when warm. In addition, it seems that all the hangers on the exhaust are about an inch or so further back then the associated hangers on the car. These two facts lead me to believe one of two things:
1. Somehow my catalytic converter / header are too far rearward. I'm not sure how this could happen, bolted to the engine. They're both stock.
2. The resonator section of the new exuast is about an inch too long.
I'm in contact with the vendor to see about replaing the pipe, and I'm in contact with a local shop to see about shortening the pipe. Neither of these things seem like optimal solutions, if I'm missing something.
My question is this: Does anyone have a similar experience, or ideas of other things to try? It would save a few of us some time / money if it turns out to be something else.
Thank you in advance.

I think you shoud name the brand for a few reasons. First installing aftermarket parts are commonly associated with problems of fit. This does not necessarily berate a legitamate companys reputation. Many of these products are designed to "closly" fit rather than "perfect" fit due to differences in model years. You've identified your problem and have come up with a couple of solutions. This is very common with after market parts buyers.
Second- If you name the brand, the possibility is great that others have already solved the problem and can give you instructions on the best way to a remedy.
Congratulations on your new exhaust which I'm sure your going to be very happy with and hopefully very soon.

What kind of exhaust bushings were used while you installed the exhaust on your 06 ?
I used all 5 stock exhaust bushings in their original locations.

i just installed a berk test pipe (2 days ago) and now i have a rattle in the fujitsubo exhaust at roughly 2800 rpm's. I also have the stock bushings. Are these supposed to be replaced when changing the exhaust?

Here's a "HOW TO" fix this problem-
1- Unbolt the rear lower brace/tie bar
2. pick up longer bolts to replace the stock bolts
3. Pick up some spaces/washers
4. Place the spacers/washers between the Brace/Tie bar and frame
5. Bolt in the new bolts
Depending on how good/far you'd spaced it, it shouldn't give you anymore issues. Had the same issue with my Invidia V1, also have header/test pipe.
Let me/us know if this help, it fixed my issue.
EDIT
You wouldn't want to spend money cutting a already nice exhaust, .
